We are a space for entrepreneurs and creatives of all kinds to build, work, and be productive alongside one another. We are proud to offer not just a vibrant work & event space but a diverse community that supports one another. Additionally, we offer a suite of programs and services to support our members and community — all in the spirit of lowering barriers to entrepreneurship.

    Business Model Canvas Study Hall

    The Speakeasy supports a wide variety of businesses and founders including but not limited to solopreneurs, high-growth startups, lifestyle companies, and intrapreneurs. Industry agnostic tools like the business model canvas (BMC) can be used for all types of businesses at nearly every stage.

    Developed by Alexander Osterwalder in the early 2000s, the BMC features nine "building blocks" to assist founders in the development of new business models as well as document existing ones for assessment and potential innovation.

    On the first Tuesday of each month, the Speak Easy will host a Business Model Canvas Study Hall that is free and open to the public. Each month will feature different industry experts to provide different perspectives on the various facets of the tool.

    Fighting Fraud Workshops with Barbara Uggen-Davis

    As an accessible, community-based coworking space, The Speakeasy provides not only physical coworking space but also access to tools and resources to develop, scale, and protect your business and ideas.

    Join Barbara Uggen-Davis, CPA, CMA to learn more about how you can fight fraud in your business on the final Wednesday each month. Barbara is the current CFO of Elevate Ventures and holds an MBA in Business Management and Business Information Systems from City University with President’s Honors for Meritorious Scholastic Achievement and holds a BA in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration from the University of Washington.

    Workshops will include introduction to small business fraud, preventative fraud controls, detective fraud controls, and case studies to apply your knowledge to real-world fraud cases.

    Perfect Pitch Primer with Dave Mosby

    As a successful intra and entrepreneur, company leader, investor, and entrepreneurial educator through e2i Academy, Dave Mosby is uniquely positioned to equip early stage business leaders. Mosby founded and continues to run entrepreneurial programs like the Capital Access Series™.

    According to e2i, only one-in-20 entrepreneurs have a pitch that resonates with investors—and we want to increase your odds.

    In partnership with Mosby & e21, a monthly Pitch Perfect Primer™ will be offered the third Wednesday of each month. The primer is free, open to the public and will provide insight and education on pitch-related topics including investment opportunity, investor payoff, go-to-market, ops forecasting, and intellectual property.

    Investor Readiness "Ask Me Anything" with Ben Pidgeon

    Ben Pidgeon is the Executive Director of VisionTech Partners and VisionTech Angels. Over the last decade, VisionTech has emerged as one of the Midwest’s most active angel investing groups, adding fuel to the innovation economy by injecting capital and business acumen into some of the nation’s and region’s hottest early growth companies.

    Ben will be hosting an Investor Readiness “Ask-Me-Anything” at The Speak Easy every final Friday of the month at 8:30 a.m. - alternating with our partners at 16Tech.
